The IntelŽ Chipset Identification Utility provides an easy way to identify the specific Intel chipset that is located on your motherboard. This information can be used to determine if your system supports software such as the IntelŽ Matrix Storage Manager, IntelŽ Chipset Software Installation Utility, or Intel's Graphics Drivers.
Note: This utility will only identify your Intel chipset, not your IntelŽ processor. To identify what type of Intel processor you have, such as the PentiumŽ 4 processor or IntelŽ CeleronŽ processor, download the IntelŽ Processor Identification Utility.
To run the Intel Chipset Identification Utility, simply download the file and run it. The utility is a standalone program with no installer package so it will not create any shortcuts on the Start menu. The file can be left on your system if desired or simply deleted after it is no longer required. The Intel Chipset Identification Utility is approximately 124KB in size and should easily fit on a floppy diskette, if desired.
